Sustainability
Environmental responsibility is central to the way we work. We are committed to protecting the planet for future generations and reducing the impact of our operations.
Our sustainability strategy is built around five pillars, Carbon Management, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Materials, Green Packaging and Waste Management. Each one guides our progress as we move towards a net-zero future.
Our journey to net-zero is well underway. We’ve committed to reducing our carbon footprint to Carbon Neutral by 2030 (excluding raw materials), and by 2050 across our entire value chain.
We’re already making big strides:
100% renewable energy since October 2023
Solar panels generating up to 15% of our electricity
A fully electric and hybrid company vehicle fleet
Closed-loop recycling, with zero waste to landfill since 2021
Recycling all vacuum-forming materials
Since October 2023, 100% of our electricity has come from renewable sources, a milestone we’re proud of. Our target is to run entirely on renewable energy by the end of 2030
Key steps so far:
Solar power from panels at our Cannock and Rutland sites
Fully electric forklift trucks, with more to follow
Plans to replace gas and oil heating systems with renewable alternatives
By continually investing in clean energy, we’re reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and creating a greener, more resilient business.
By 2030, every new product we make will contain recycled materials, with a long-term goal of achieving net-zero material-related emissions by 2050.
To get there, we’re embracing innovation:
Lightweighting technologies to improve efficiency
Natural fibre composites for eco-friendly solutions
Re-use of production waste with material suppliers
Recycled polymers for injection moulding
Chemical recycling to recover PU chemicals
Incorporation of post-consumer and post-industrial content, including reclaimed sea plastics
One example is our collaboration with Harper Collective to create luxury sustainable suitcases, crafted from sea plastics and recycled waste... a perfect balance of durability, elegance, and environmental responsibility.
Packaging plays a vital role in sustainability. Our goal is to eliminate waste and ensure all packaging contributes to a circular economy.
We’ve already ensured all plastic packaging contains at least 30% recycled content, and our roadmap sets even higher ambitions:
By 2025: 100% recyclable packaging across all product lines
By 2025: All wood-based packaging sourced from FSC-certified, deforestation-free suppliers
By 2030: 100% recycled content in all plastic packaging
By working with suppliers and customers on recyclable and returnable solutions, we’re reducing waste while protecting the products that matter.
Effective waste management is essential to a sustainable future, and it forms the fifth pillar of our sustainability strategy. Our goal is clear: zero waste to landfill.
We achieved this milestone in 2022, but our commitment doesn’t stop there. Guided by the Waste Hierarchy principle; prevent, re-use, recycle, energy recovery, and disposal as a last resort, we are focused on:
Reducing waste production at every stage of our operations
Increasing recycling rates through smarter material use
Finding innovative ways to re-use and recover resources
By preventing waste before it’s created and maximising recycling, we’re ensuring our operations contribute to a more circular economy, minimising impact, maximising value, and setting a higher standard for sustainable manufacturing.
Our sustainability pillars are our promise to make meaningful change. We’ll continue to share our progress, our innovations, and our collaborations as we move towards a net-zero future.
